A typical shoot will be approximately 1 hour long.
This includes the meet & greet and any setup the time needed. Travel time is not included in the hour but additional fees will apply for locations outside of the Salisbury, MD area.

Before your session.
After we’ve had our initial introduction, we can talk about the fun stuff like the location and reason for your session! I typically stay in the Salisbury, MD area, but will absolutely travel on request. I am always up for going to any location that is special to you or somehow represents the dog’s (or your) personality! I want your photos to be unique.
I recommend the dogs be freshly groomed so they look their most beautiful. If you have a dog who likes to get dirty and are looking for fun shots in the mud or water, that sounds great too!
During the session.
I am exclusively an on-location photographer. No stuffy studio photography here! With that being said, I prefer to shoot a mix of both candid and posed photos. When we meet for your session, we’ll give the dog a few minutes to give me a sniff over and for me to say hello to them. We may even walk for a bit to get the dog relaxed in a new setting and around my camera. I’ll probably make strange noises and have squeaker toys to get different reactions from the dogs.
There is no need to worry about leashes if your dog has to stay restrained and is not great off-leash I can work a little Photoshop magic and move in different angles to try and hide it. I will also send out a specific questionnaire regarding any special needs of your dog that I should be aware of to ensure we have a great session.
Always know that if the session goes into overtime for reasons such as bad weather, location delays, or other issues that are my fault, there is no cost to you.
After your session.
When the session is over, I’ll go straight home and upload your RAW images onto my computer, then I will also save the images onto an external hard drive. A few days after your session, I will typically upload a sneak peek to your email as I continue to edit the files. The final images will be uploaded to your online album where you can download the files or purchase prints, products, etc. directly through my website.
